About Me
Bay-born and bay-proud!
I grew up here in a small town on the side of San Bruno mountain called Brisbane (near SFO). I've lived in the bay the majority of my life and I love my community here!
The vast Buddhist community in the bay has supported my spiritual development and provided a wonderful sangha. Berkeley Zen Center, the San Francisco Buddhist Center, Spirit Rock & East Bay Meditation Center have been all been integral spaces for me to deepen my practice & learn from local practitioners.
A couple local strong influences on me have been Kevin Griffin, who teaches Buddhist principles as they relate to 12-step recovery and James Gilman, a local teacher of Vedanta.
Outside of the explicitly spiritual realm I've found value in providing support to other peers through my own journey in the 12-step world, as well as through serving as a crisis counselor for the Trevor Project's suicide prevention hotline.
As spiritual principles dominate more and more of my life I've decided to leap forward and share the teachings of Buddhist philosophy and practice in this rich, deep personal practice. I've been fortunate to experience the relief of my resentments, the relief of my fears - and in that transformation I want nothing more than to magnify this feeling of infinite love and abundance.
